Curriculum Vitae
Emanuela Battigelli was born in Gemona del Friuli (Italy) in 1980.
After studying with Patrizia Tassini and graduating (2001) with first honours at the “J. Tomadini” Conservatory in Udine (Italy), she moved to Israel where she obtained an Artist Diploma from Tel Aviv University (2003) under the patronage of Ruth Maayani; afterwards she has been participating in private lessons and masterclasses with Julia Sverdlov, Judith Liber, Charlotte Balzereit and, more recently, with Anna Loro, Elisabeth Fontan Binoche and Marie-Pierre Langlamet.
She has received recognition and prizes from different national and international competitions and she won the prestigeous scolarship from The America Israel Cultural Foundation.
In 2009 Emanuela Battigelli collaborated as a guest member of the Berliner Philharmoniker for the production Gotterdammerung by Richard Wagner at the Aix en Provence Festival, under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle.
She has also been a guest harpist of such orchestras such as Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Israeli Opera, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Nacional do Porto and Israel Chamber Orchestra, conducted by such maestros as G. Dudamel, C. Dutoit, V. Fedoseev, Z. Mehta and J. Tate.
In November 2006 Emanuela Battigelli took part in a tour with the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra, where she performed in the most important concert halls of Asia and Australia (Sydney Opera House, The Forbidden City Concert Hall, Tokyo Opera House etc.).
Since year 1996 she has an intense international concert activity as soloist and chamber musician: UBS Verbier Festival, Festival of Aix en Provence, Israel Chamber Orchestra, The A. And V. Carter Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra L. Malipiero, Festival di Chiusdino, Festival di Arte Contemporanea Stazione di Topolò, Maedchenkantorei Limburg, Yad Vashem, Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione, Stift Klosterneuburg (Austria), Lions Club, Rotary Club, Castello di Strassoldo, Itineraria, Palazzo Chigi Saracini, Italian Embassy in Israel, The Clairmont Hall (Tel Aviv), International Festival In the Sounds of Places and many others.
From 2001 to 2004 she participated in the Tel Aviv Workshop of Contemporary Music and in the Biennale for Contemporary Music in Jerusalem, performing among others several compositions written for her by Leon Schidlowsky.
She has also participated as a soloist and a chamber musician in audio and video broadcasts for Telecapodistria, RAI and for the Israeli radio and television.
